Coming Soon: Fahrenheit – Indigo Prophecy Remastered

Good news for adventure game fans: a remastered version of Fahrenheit (known as “Indigo Prophecy” in America for some reason), the 2005 adventure game from Quantic Dreams, is coming soon to desktop and mobile.

A listing for Fahrenheit Remastered briefly appeared on Amazon over the weekend, and there are some interesting tidbits in the description.

Unlike the original North American release, Remastered contains all of the game’s original scenes, uncensored and uncut.

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered serves as the definitive version of the supernatural murder mystery and (re)introduces the groundbreaking title to old and new fans alike.

Key Upgrades:

High-definition Graphics
All of the in-game textures have been meticulously recreated in HD for mobile and desktop.
Full Controller Support
Support for Sony and Microsoft controllers for desktop platforms.
Live Graphics Comparison
Players can switch between the updated visuals and the original art assets with the touch of a button.

There isn’t a huge amount to go on in this description. The words “Full Controller Support” are always nice to hear, but there is no guarantee the mobile versions will be supported.

It’s also unclear if developer’s Quantic Dreams are involved in this remake, and if so, if they’re also involved in the mobile port. Still, I’m optimistic. I’ve actually never played Fahrenheit before, but I consider Quantic Dreams’ Heavy Rain to be one of the very best games from the last console generation. I won’t be passing up the opportunity to play one of their games that I missed the first time around.
