Back in March, we introduced the first link watch to use Grand Seiko's new Hi-Beat movement, the 9SA5. That watch, SLGH002, which Jack later went in-depth with, was a dressy, limited edition run link of 100 pieces. The new movement inside it was nine years in development and marks a new generation of mechanical link calibers at Grand Seiko. Now, we're seeing the movement in a new guise: a stainless steel watch, which is also part of the brand's 60th-anniversary releases.

The PRX Digital is available in the same two diameters link like its hand-hovered friend, features link a case still waterproof link to depths of 100 meters, is proposed in steel and in gold PVD, and is paired with black, mirrored-silver or dazzling gold crystal dial covering.

A lot of the time you can confirm any suspicions you might have by comparing the gear train layout, regulating system, and position of the jewels link in the alleged "exclusive" movement, to link what you think might be the base caliber. Train layout and consequently, jewel positioning are difficult link to change.

Or maybe it's Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani's link beautiful photographs of his link favorite places and how they allow me to see how his vision informs how he designs for Bulgari. Or his love of Giugiaro Seikos and the sketches that show that he's not afraid to acknowledge a broader world of design and history link outside of the Roman Maison.

Instead of the edges of the link weight bumping against springs that sent it back and forth, the weight now only has a small lip, a few millimeters link wide, along the track that does the "bumping". Then there's the "bumper" itself, where Alpina has removed the springs that gave the weight its bounce and just left a hard piece of metal, again taking link up less rotational space.

The hour and minutes are expressed with large, gorgeously rich, Dauphine shaped hands. They are larger than the hands usually link seen on watches, yet link do not over-clutter the link dial, but rather enhance legibility with their beautiful lines.
