AFTERPAD

Link: ‘Why the iPad Became My Main Computer’

Federico Viticci, a major Mac blogger, makes the case for using an iPad Air 2 as the primary computer for writing and managing a website.

I’ve been experimenting with this myself recently. I’m currently not able to do everything AfterPad requires using just an iPad, but I’m a lot closer than I was when I started the site.

For me, the problem isn’t the device itself, or iOS. It’s the oldest culprit in all of tech: bugs. When my iPad crashes 20% of the time I engage multitasking, when Tumblr crashes and deletes my post randomly when entering tags, and when Safari reloads pages without warning, I find myself fighting with my iPad more than I appreciate its simplicity. That defeats the purpose.
