Updated: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Chinatown Wars, the mobile-centric spinoff of the Grand Theft Auto 4 series, was recently updated for universal compatibility and MFi controller support!
Since it’s original release for the Nintendo DS years ago, Chinatown Wars has garnered critical and popular acclaim for translating the world of GTA4 into a smaller, more portable experience. The iOS version is greatly enhanced beyond the original release, featuring vastly higher resolutions, improved graphic effects, and a smoother framerate. Controller support was the last thing missing, and now it’s here.
Chinatown Wars was first ported to iOS as two versions: standard and HD. Both versions have been updated to be universally compatible – they are functionally identical at this time – but only the previously-non-HD version will continue to receive updates. If you’ve already purchased the HD version, you’ll still be able to redownload it. If you haven’t purchased any version yet, get the standard version, as the HD one will be removed from sale soon.
