It's a interesting discussion, What will happen to the fate of consoles. For now I think they got the upper hand with sharper graphics, Crystal clear audio and an overall more emirsive gaming experience. (That require longer play sessions) Most of the iOS games I have come across that offer more depth then angry birds are often divided into smaller digestible bits. In Implosion, a stage lasts about five minutes. It's a really nice looking game but the way it's chopped up to be accesble on a portable device, breaks the illusion for me. Don't get me wrong, I love playing on my iPhone 6 plus. I am always on the hunt for new mfi supported games. But the iOS/android games have to evolve abit more before I sell my consoles. But in 10 years I probably won't buy a console either. Hopefully our phones and tablets will be as powerful as a juiced up gaming computer in 10 years.

Would have been real nice to play with a controller. Hopefully they will add it later on.

I have a question about Deus Ex for iOS: the other day when I tried to play it with my controller, even though it's not Mfi supported (as I know of) I got on screen promts that told me to push certain buttons on the controller to fire the gun for example. The controller did not respond. But it felt like the game knew it was connected but couldn't be used. Has anybody else had the same or similar experience. And is the game mfi compatible?
Sorry if I don't make sense. If so I will try to explain it better.

I just bought both the Mad Catz Ctrl i and Moga Rebel. Just finished Strangers Wrath with both of them and I got to say the Ctrl i feels better in your hand but the rebel is a better portable option because of the foldable arm.I will probably never play a iOS game with touch controls again. As it feels so ocward in comparison to the gamepads.
