Lightning MFi controllers (SS Nimbus, Horipad Ultimate) w/ old Macbook
I read both controllers works with 4.1 Bluetooth. My mid 2010 MacBook doesn't support it. Is it possible to make it work with the lightning wire?
Hey,
There are a lot of issues using MFi controllers with the Mac. Only the SteelSeries controllers will work at all, and they don't work great.
You might need to download an app to specifically enable support. Try an emulator, or something where you can manually app your controls.
Horipad Ultimate works fine out of the box in Mac OS X 10.11 on my mid-2011 iMac 12,1
Just pair in Bluetooth settings.

Awesome, glad to hear the Horipad Ultimate works! The first Horipad didn't work with Mac.

I've edited my reply to clarify! Thanks
If your Mac doesn't support Bluetooth 4.1 you might look into a smallUSB adapter that adds such capability.
Be careful to check that the adapter you buy is Mac compatible!

I don't think there is any way to use a Lightning cable to use these controllers with your MacBook. You could look into getting a Bluetooth USB adapter with 4.1.
