Site Performance

Hi Kevin,

I love your site, but for some reason it has significant performance problems on Google Chrome (64-bit, Windows 7) for me. One page generally works. Two has a noticeable lag, and 3 freezes chrome entirely. IE works fine with any number of pages. I don't know if others see this, but I just thought I'd let you know.

Thanks for the feedback! Performance is VERY important to me, thanks for letting me know about this. I rarely test with Windows, and when I do, it's only in the default browser (I've found the latest Edge / Internet Explorer versions to be far better than Chrome for most uses).

I'm not sure what is going on. I don't run a bunch of Javascript code constantly - generally, once the page is built, my code stops, and it should be VERY lightweight and fast. I'll spend some time tonight trying to figure out what's going on.

Are you encountering lag only when you have multiple pages of AfterPad open? Or multiple pages of anything, when one of those pages happens to be AfterPad? Also, are you running any extensions? And if so, do you encounter the problem when extensions are turned off?

Oh god that was a horrible bug I just fixed. Windows was triggering a function whenever an app's icon loaded, over and over again, forever.

Should work a lot better now. Let's see if there are any other bugs I can iron out...
