If you’ve heard about Snapchat’s Solar System feature and are wondering how to see it on your account, you’re not alone. It’s a fun and visual way Snapchat shows your best friends — but there’s a catch: not everyone can access it right away.

To unlock the Snapchat+ Planets, the first thing you need is a Snapchat+ subscription. This is Snapchat’s premium offering, which adds a bunch of experimental and exclusive features, including the Solar System. So, if you're using the regular (free) version of Snapchat, you won’t see this feature until you subscribe.

Once you subscribe to Snapchat+, you’ll automatically unlock the Best Friends list with planet rankings. This means Snapchat will rank your top friends using planets, similar to how the real solar system is structured — the closer the planet is to the Sun, the closer that friend is to you on Snapchat. For example, your #1 best friend might appear as Mercury, while someone further down the list might be Mars or Saturn.

To enable it:

Subscribe to Snapchat+
Open Snapchat and tap on your Bitmoji or profile icon in the top-left.
Scroll down and look for Snapchat+.
Follow the prompts to start a subscription (monthly or yearly options are available).
Check Your Friends’ Profiles
Once subscribed, go to a friend’s profile (especially your best friends).
If you see a “Best Friends” badge with a planet icon, it means Solar System is active.
Tap the badge to see which planet they represent in your Snap solar system.
