Contoller Grips

Hi Guys,

Been following the site for a while, it's a great site, and very professional. Thanks for all your efforts!! Just read the news article re 3rd party controller grips. I recently got a PXNY Speedy after your review. I know it has a grip, though does not allow to many angles of movement for the attached phone. I'd be really interested to see if others grips work with it, I'd love to attach my iPad mini 4 if it's possible. I live in NZ (no Amazon) but my partner will be in the US, in about 6 weeks, so looking forward to your round up to see if it's worth getting one!!

Welcome to the site; glad you like it!

Sadly, the Nyko grip does *not* work well with the PXN Speedy. The right analog stick rubs against the plastic part of the Nyko grip. In fact, in all my testing, the only controller it works well with is the SteelSeries Nimbus.

I'm looking to get my hands on an Xbox 360-focused controller grip. One of those would probably be perfect for the Nimbus and C.T.R.L.i designs...

I am debating between buying the Horipad Ultimate and the Nimbus. Since the Nimbus works with the Niko grip, I will probably pick that one up, but certainly please let us know if you find anything that works well with the Ultimate.

Edit: I just realized I should get the Nimbus. I have an Xbox One, so if the Nyko grip works with those controllers and the Nimbus, it's a double win!
